Hypergrid trip to Pompeii Bauproject on Metropolis

A very nice thing is that there are more and more good builds on the hypergrid. Today i took a trip to Pompeii. I have been there a few times in RL but i think i like the virtual tour better. Some of the buildings are very well done and you get a good idea what it could have been like to live there once.

A very nice lesson in history and a greatway to show how Opensim can be used in education. Can´t wait to put my VR headset on and visit again.

There is a link on the Metropolis main island. Adress hypergrid.org:8002

  • Another day in Second life.

I am in SL everyday now. Exploring and checking out the SL art scene. I enjoy it but really wish for a new VR viewer. I am using a older VorpX and my Oculus. The new updates of VorpX does not work anymore. SL is really great in VR. Some places got terrible framerate but all in all it is good. It is really a big world and many things to see. The other worlds have nothing at all to show. Been there once and it is the same next time.Yes maybe Opensim worlds. But that is the same, really.

The most promising world was High Fidelity but that is not around anymore. If I where a better programmer I would combine Opensim and High Fidelity s software. That would be something. Maybe some of the AI I am working on can do that someday. I cant I am not that good a developer. Bummer.

  • Sometimes you just find a gem.

Found this one on Steam early access. Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. It is not a game or anything else either. But it is fun to see where it is going from here. I just love these little guys.

  • Bryn OH and creatures.

Something to go and see in Second life. One of my fav 3D artists. I really would like to use all the strange creatures in a game or something. They are a art project in them self. There are many of them and they are all a little bit strange as it should be.

  • #Townscaper a nice little builder.

Found this little piece of software on Steam early access. Could be a nice tool one day. I wish it would be this easy to build environments for VR or games. And fun. Playing around with it.

It is done by Oskar Stålberg @OskSta on Twitter.
